Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to provide exceptional support to our dentists and patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced dental environment and be proficient in dental procedures and terminology.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Greet and welcome patients, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
- Diagnostic Assessments: Take and process x-rays, and conduct thorough reviews of patient health history.
- Chairside Assistance: Provide superior support to dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
- Administrative Tasks: Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, manage supply and inventory levels, and place orders as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Certifications: Dental assisting school certification and/or x-ray certification (if required by state dental practice act).
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in dental procedures and terminology.
