Job Title: Registered Dental Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Health Professionals. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for treatments or checkups, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, providing support and expertise
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records
  • Perform equipment maintenance and supply ordering, ensuring seamless operations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Dentrix knowledge and good computer skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail and well-organized
  • Current/Active RDA certificate and registration
  • CPR certified
  • Proficient at taking digital X-rays
  • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
