Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure food processing equipment is clean and sanitized daily, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Assist food technologists with the setup and breakdown of food processing equipment and product development workstations.
  • Break down, clean, and reassemble food processing equipment according to manufacturer instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct daily and weekly maintenance schedules for critical equipment assets, including environmental chambers, refrigeration units, and HVAC systems.
  • Monitor temperature-controlled storage boxes daily, troubleshoot issues, and report concerns to equipment specialists and lab managers in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of food processing and packaging equipment, as well as workstation preparation for batching, filling, and sealing operations.
Requirements
  • Valid food handler's certification from an accredited institution.
  • Working knowledge of pipe fitting and basic electrical wiring.
  • Experience operating food processing equipment, including single and co-extruding bar formers, piston and auger fillers, transport pumps, steam jacketed kettles, mixers, dough sheeters, grinders, comminutors, mills, and more.
