Position Overview
The Acquisition Specialist II will play a pivotal role in supporting procurement activities for specialized government programs. This position is integral to ensuring that national security requirements are met through effective contract management and administration.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Contracting Officer to strategize and oversee acquisitions for diverse products and services.
- Provide comprehensive contract support, including:
- Conducting market research
- Preparing solicitation documents
- Reviewing proposals for compliance
- Performing cost and price evaluations
- Assisting in negotiations
- Processing invoices
- Integrate acquisition planning with project objectives and strategic vision.
- Maintain consistency across all acquisition documentation.
- Facilitate decision-making and program execution.
- Assist in developing acquisition strategies and performing contract administration tasks.
- Oversee contract performance and communicate project status effectively.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting or equivalent roles.
- Additional education or certifications may substitute for experience.
- Proven expertise in managing contract actions from inception to execution.
- Extensive experience in source selections, negotiations, and contract documentation.
- Relevant experience in DoD/IC environments, with at least 1 year in specialized programs.
- Proficiency in ConWrite is preferred.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Valid driver's license is necessary.
- Compliance with COVID vaccination requirements or approved exemptions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to pass a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).
- Knowledge of contracting methodologies and procedures.
- Capacity to work under tight deadlines and high-performance expectations.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
