Position Overview
The Cycle Counter plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory management system. This position is essential for ensuring that stock levels are accurate and that discrepancies are addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts cycle counting activities to ensure precise inventory records.
- Supports warehouse personnel in locating materials efficiently.
- Updates inventory data, including quantities and locations, within the SAP system.
- Evaluates cycle count results to identify variances between counted and recorded quantities.
- Investigates inventory discrepancies and prepares detailed reports on inventory and bin locations.
- Proposes solutions to resolve inventory-related challenges.
- Records discrepancies for further analysis.
- Utilizes computer systems to access and retrieve necessary inventory documentation.
- Establishes new storage locations and removes outdated ones.
- Assists in the annual physical inventory process.
- Completes inventory control transactions as required.
- Engages in receiving, stocking, shipping, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Operates material handling equipment, including Drexel and Forklift, safely and efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary.
Experience:
- Proficiency in general computer skills; familiarity with Excel is advantageous.
- Capability to develop and interpret inventory reports.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to identify components from technical drawings.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
- Completion of DOT HAZMAT training is required.
- Successful completion of Drexel and Forklift training; must maintain operational competency.
- Flexibility to adapt to other roles as business needs arise.
Reporting Structure:
- This position does not have direct reports.
