Position Overview

The Senior Project Controls Analyst plays a crucial role in the organization by overseeing project scheduling and cost management. This position involves the creation of detailed schedules based on project drawings and scopes of work. The analyst will provide essential support to project management and team members regarding baseline schedules, success metrics, float management, and schedule logic. This role may also involve leading project control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules utilizing estimated manhours.
  • Comprehend the project execution strategy and document any modifications to the plan.
  • Facilitate regular project earned value and productivity assessments.
  • Create schedules for proposals and collaborate with estimating teams for proposal support.
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting as necessary.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency.
  • Formulate and implement project controls execution and reporting plans in collaboration with project managers and engineers.
  • Oversee the schedule and key milestones for project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project managers on change orders by analyzing reports and identifying potential issues.
  • Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Conduct reviews of manpower forecasts.
  • Prepare budget adjustments and labor corrections in coordination with the accounting team and project members.
  • Process approved changes and budget adjustments into the project budget.
  • Develop forecasts at completion (EAC) based on current expenditures, commitments, and trends.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Extensive experience with Primavera (P6) scheduling software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong understanding of industrial construction and engineering practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
