Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential administrative support to attorneys, enhancing overall office productivity.
- Facilitate communication with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved.
- Manage client interactions to ensure effective communication.
- Research and compile pertinent case information.
- Prepare and file fundamental legal documents and correspondence.
- Assist the team in collecting necessary documents from clients.
- Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
- Maintain updated contact lists.
- Track deadlines and manage calendars efficiently.
- Perform translations as needed, both in-office and externally.
- Draft basic legal forms such as waivers of service and notices of hearings.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Exceptional organizational and secretarial skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant.
- Preferred: Familiarity with divorce proceedings, SAPCRs, custody, child support, modifications, and enforcement matters.
Compensation: Hourly pay commensurate with the applicant's relevant experience.
