Clinical Supervisor

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South is seeking a skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of safe and effective patient care, particularly during after-hours, weekends, and holidays. Your leadership and communication skills will be essential in maintaining continuity of care, reporting pertinent information to management and administration, and effectively addressing unusual occurrences or complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Assure the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends, and on holidays or when the Chief Nursing Officer is not in the building.
- Assess all departments to ensure continuity of care and report pertinent information to management and administration.
- Effectively communicate unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up and intervene immediately when needed.
- Ensure nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
- Ensure occurrence of appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitor completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicate this information to the nursing department.
- Assure education and training is provided to nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs) and assure timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring are performed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English, with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills is required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
