Clinical Supervisor

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South is seeking a skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the provision of safe and effective patient care, even after hours, on weekends, and on holidays. Your responsibilities will include assessing all departments to ensure continuity of care, reporting pertinent information to management and administration, and communicating unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up. You will also be responsible for ensuring the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Additionally, you will assist in reviewing and evaluating risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes to continually improve performance and outcomes. You will also be responsible for providing education and training to nursing staff on Quality Indicators and ensuring timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring are performed.
Responsibilities
- Assure the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends, and on holidays or when CNO/NM/Interim is not in building.
- Assess all departments to ensure continuity of care and report pertinent information to management and administration.
- Communicate unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up and intervene immediately when needed.
- Ensure the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Ensure occurrence of appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitor completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
- Assist to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicate this information to the nursing department.
- Assure education and training is provided to nursing staff on Quality Indicators; assure timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring are performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.
- Demonstrates problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
