We are seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Atrium Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting with daily operations to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the manager in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and service administration.
- Engage teammates and provide leadership in the professional practice setting to promote innovation in care delivery.
- Coach and counsel teammates, and assist with discipline, up to and including written warnings.
- Assist with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with the manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, and required regulations and policies.
- Assist with appropriate utilization of resources to meet patient care needs.
- Round on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into patient care, employee, and physician satisfaction.
- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters.
- Assist in identifying expected outcomes to provide direction for continuity of care and department operations.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
- Minimum two years nursing experience preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- BSN required.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
- Appropriate professional certification required within 1 year of eligibility.
