Customer Product Repair Mechanic

The Customer Product Repair Mechanic is a critical role at Flowserve Corporation, responsible for the disassembly and assembly of high-energy pumps and decoking equipment at our Quick Response Center in Rancho Dominguez, CA.
Key Responsibilities:- Dismantle, clean, inspect, and assemble pumps and equipment, adhering to all safety requirements and meeting tight deadlines.
- Read and follow accurately all routers, instructions, checklists, and engineering drawings during all processes.
- Utilize torches and liquid nitrogen when necessary for the disassembly process.
- Inspect pumps and equipment, verifying dimensions of all critical components.
- Ensure components are clean and free from foreign material.
- Document accurate, thorough inspection records, including photos and written descriptions of the wear and condition of components.
- Explain and discuss the condition of all critical components of the pump or equipment as needed.
- Coordinate effectively in a small team environment, sharing information and resolving problems with supervisors, sales engineers, machinists, buyers, and planners.
- Run balance machines to properly balance impellers and shafts after assembly.
- Self-verify workmanship, inspecting all components for critical fits and run-outs.
- Complete accurate, thorough assembly documentation, including inspection records, photos, and customer-specific forms.
- Paint, tag, and prepare the pump for shipment to the customer.
- Exhibit behavior that contributes to an environment that encourages teambuilding, decision-making, problem-solving, and continuous improvements.
- 5 years of experience in after-market repair and service of mechanical equipment.
- A personal set of mechanic tools and a roll-around tool box.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Effective communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- A demonstrated track record of reliable, dependable work ethic with a personal commitment to quality workmanship.
- An attention to detail and a respect for processes and instructions.
- A customer-service, results-oriented mindset at all times.
- The ability to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
- Experience in rotating pumps.
- Forklift certification.

The pay range for this position is $46.22 USD Hourly.
