We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team at the State of Connecticut's Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). As a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
About the Position:- Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Prescribe medication and provide psychotherapy services to patients.
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate health services.
- Provide clinical supervision and education to nursing personnel and other healthcare professionals.
Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) is a 17-unit inpatient facility that provides comprehensive psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, and specialized services for pregnant women and individuals with dual diagnoses.
Battell 3 South is an acute general psychiatric treatment unit with a maximum census of twenty-two patients. The unit provides psychiatric treatment and stabilization for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, with the goal of discharge to the community in the most integrated setting possible.
