Job Title: Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team at the State of Connecticut.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position (32 hours per week) with a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for patients with mental health and substance use disorders
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Master's degree in psychiatric and/or mental health nursing and at least two years of experience as a professional nurse working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
