Job Summary

The Senior Payroll Compliance Analyst ensures payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and oversees accurate and timely retirement plan contributions.

This role involves designing and implementing payroll policies, maintaining internal control compliance, and managing payroll systems, including ERP transitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with payroll and tax regulations and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and recommend compliance solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll practices and laws.
  • Develop test plans and conduct testing for ERP updates.
  • Create and validate payroll-related resources.
  • Collaborate with HR on retirement plan updates and ensure accurate contributions.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for payroll-related issues.
  • Conduct audits and prepare reports for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with the Retirement Savings Plan Administration Manual.
  • Communicate effectively with HR Compliance and senior leadership on payroll issues.
  • Utilize Excel for data processing and auditing.
  • Manage complex tasks and multiple high-level projects concurrently.
  • Prepare materials for presentations to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Wage and Hour compliance, IRS correction methodology, and retirement plans.
  • Experience with third-party retirement plan recordkeepers.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions, taxes, and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and apply laws and regulations.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in enhancing policies and procedures with automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and foster productive work climates.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
