High-Quality Press Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Press Operator to join our team at Specialty Printing. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of 4-12 color presses, ensuring high-quality production runs from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate printing presses, including ordering supplies and completing any necessary maintenance tasks.
- Receive and verify job materials, including ink, job tickets, labels, dies, plates, and stock material.
- Ensure all equipment and safety devices are operational and that the press and equipment are running at the proper speed to meet safety and quality specifications.
- Communicate with supervisors and other employees to ensure smooth production runs and address any quality or safety issues.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production run to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Store and label finished product and box/pallet according to job standard.
- Inspect printed material visually during production run and make adjustments as necessary.
- Operate camera on press where available.
- Maintain a clean machine and work environment, performing minor preventative maintenance as required.
- Notify maintenance of any necessary significant equipment adjustments or repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety guidelines, job instructions, tickets, labels, charts, and other work-related material.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to set up press and ancillary equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.
- Ability to work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push paper rolls that weigh up to 300 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Constant standing, frequent reaching, use of hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, stretching, and crouching.
- Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds, pushing paper rolls that weigh up to 300 pounds.
- Work with moving mechanical parts with potential pinch points, cuts, and crush points.
- Frequent use of close vision and fine motor skills to detect quality issues.
