Position Overview:
The Senior Systems Architect is responsible for evaluating system specifications and spearheading design and development initiatives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, suggesting alternative methodologies, and performing feasibility assessments. The architect provides technical guidance for the synthesis of requirements, design, and technological solutions. This position integrates new strategies, designs, and systems into existing operations while producing comprehensive technical documentation. Additionally, the architect is tasked with creating system architecture and design documentation.

Facilitates system development and implementation planning through the assessment or formulation of system engineering management plans and system integration and testing strategies.

Engages with government representatives concerning technical aspects of Systems Engineering and addresses associated challenges or conflicts. Ultimately accountable for the technical soundness of deliverables and work performed within the Systems Engineering domain. Maintains communication with program personnel, government officials, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee system requirements and derived specifications to guarantee the successful delivery of production systems that align with established system architectures.
2. Create systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
3. Formulate system requirements, functional specifications, and allocate these to specific hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
4. Coordinate the resolution of action items during program/project meetings, design reviews, program assessments, and testing evaluations that necessitate cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 14 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of comparable scope, type, and complexity.

A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory. Alternatively, five years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
