The University of Virginia is seeking a skilled Patient Transport professional to join our team. As a Transporter, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient patient transportation services within our Medical Center.

Job Requirements:
  • Provide patient transport services while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Verify patient identities and destinations prior to transport to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Maintain clean and well-maintained equipment to prevent contamination and downtime.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Perform routine transports, morgue duties, and supply management tasks as needed.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $15.00 - $20.34 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent experience. American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Saver AED Course certification is required within 90 days of hire. The physical demands of this position include frequent standing, bending, stooping, traveling, and reaching, as well as the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
