Job Title: Educational Behavioral Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Vista Autism Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As an EBS Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing intensive support to clients with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement client plans and programs with fidelity across school and community environments, utilizing proper protective equipment when necessary.
  • Accurately complete documentation requirements related to daily in-school services, including emergency procedure forms.
  • Provide support to students through activities of daily living, swimming activities, and implementing programming across environments to generalize skills.
  • Complete high-quality session notes and maintain a professional relationship with families and community partners.
  • Design materials for behavioral programming and support, organize client materials and work areas, prepare reinforcement, train other staff on program changes, and complete fidelity checks.
  • Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team-related discussions for client and make recommendations when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Behavior Consultant to monitor client programming and progress, and perform treatment integrity checks as prescribed.
  • Act as lead during crises and/or coach others on implementing emergency techniques.
  • Collect, document, and enter data or other relevant information pertaining to client behavior, goals, and prescribed programming.
  • Provide coaching to all team members in a supportive and collaborative manner, and receive and implement coaching from others to improve performance.
  • Conduct all interactions with staff, clients, and internal and external customers in a positive, professional, and caring manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma required.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Training required.
  • Successful completion of Safe and Positive Approaches training required.
  • Ability to implement, train, and coach other staff on the implementation of services and proper crisis prevention and intervention techniques required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services field highly desired.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in human services field or school setting highly desired.
  • Minimum six months experience at Vista preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Graduate work in a related-service field preferred.
