We are currently seeking an Applications Engineer who will be instrumental in addressing all metrology application requirements related to the use of PolyWorks software alongside various metrology systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire proficiency in PolyWorks software for dimensional inspection tasks.
  • Understand and utilize 3D scanning technologies, including laser and structured light methods.
  • Perform scanning and analysis of components, generating detailed inspection reports for clients.
  • Conduct both in-person and virtual demonstrations for clients.
  • Facilitate training sessions, including online, classroom, and onsite formats.
  • Manage customer support inquiries via calls and emails.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to provide insights for product enhancements.
  • Create macro scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Occasionally design simple components as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Mechanical CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with light power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically, with potential for international travel.
  • Flexibility to relocate if required.
  • Onsite work is necessary; remote work is not an option.
  • Must be a permanent resident or citizen of the USA.

  • Familiarity with 3D scanning equipment (e.g., Faro, Romer, Leica, Creaform, GOM).
  • Experience with 3D scanning software (e.g., PolyWorks, Geomagic, GOM Inspect).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail in task execution.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp technical concepts rapidly.
