  • Assigns rooms based on the skill levels of specialty teams.
  • Oversees daily clinical operations.
  • Creates and maintains preference cards.
  • Delivers direct patient care as required.
  • Monitors the efficiency of room turnover.
  • Ensures the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinates with specialty service physicians.
  • Assists staff and surgeons during schedule adjustments.
  • Manages costs through effective supply management.
  • Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
  • Supports adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Ensures thorough documentation of procedures.
  • Advocates for compliance with National Patient Safety guidelines.
  • Facilitates effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and advocates for their rights.
  • Respects patient dignity and autonomy.
  • Follows OR dress code and engages in educational activities.
  • Evaluates new procedures and enhances clinical skills.
  • Shares knowledge through mentorship, unit management, and educational roles.
  • Maintains required certifications.
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives at the unit level.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current licensure in the State of Illinois.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three years of hire.
  • Proficiency in fundamental nursing and computer skills.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred:

  • Specialty certification.
  • Additional clinical experience.
