Baylor Scott & White Health McLane Children's Medical Center is actively seeking a skilled pediatric cardiologist with specialized training in imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, and Transesophageal echocardiography. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a comprehensive pediatric cardiac surgical program. The ideal candidate will be a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible pediatric cardiologist, ready to collaborate with a dedicated team of four specialists in Central Texas. Preference will be given to those with additional imaging training.
Our institution provides extensive pediatric cardiac services, encompassing the diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions in fetuses, neonates, and preventive cardiology. Our team conducts a variety of cardiac assessments, including electrocardiograms, echocardiograms (both trans-thoracic and fetal), stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
Position Highlights:
- Academic appointment at the rank of clinical assistant, associate, or professor of pediatrics with Baylor College of Medicine.
- Additional imaging training is preferred to enhance the development of our future heart center.
- Strong experience in managing postoperative cardiac patients, ICU/inpatient cardiology, and electrophysiology is desirable.
- Involvement in the education of medical students, residents, sonographers, and nursing staff.
- Responsibilities include performing, supervising, and interpreting electrocardiograms, Holters, and trans-thoracic echocardiograms across multiple hospitals in the Central Texas region.
- The primary clinic is situated in Temple, Texas, with outreach services to several additional clinics.
About McLane Children's Medical Center
Our state-of-the-art McLane Children's Specialty Clinic is adjacent to our dedicated Children's Hospital in Temple, Texas. The facility features 112 patient beds, including 48 private medical/surgical rooms, 16 private Pediatric ICU rooms, and a 24-hour, level II pediatric emergency department, as well as a verified trauma center equipped to handle critical pediatric cases. A level IV, 48-bed Neonatal ICU is also located on the main campus.
