About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architect Project Manager to join our team at American Capital Group. As a key member of our multifamily housing development team, you will be responsible for leading architectural projects from concept to occupancy, ensuring alignment with design intent, codes, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage architectural projects, collaborating with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverable dates, delegating tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams, including architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Review and approve architectural design concepts, plans, and drawings to ensure compliance with project goals, standards, and specifications.
  • Provide direction on design and guidance to project teams, facilitating creative problem-solving and design excellence.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of architectural plans, specifications, and documentation.
  • Implement QC procedures to maintain design integrity and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure projects adhere to all relevant codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Architecture, Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • License in Architecture required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in multifamily architectural design.
  • Strong proficiency in relevant architectural software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards related to multifamily design.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance design aesthetics with technical functionality and constructability.
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles and a commitment to creating environmentally responsible projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and embraces a collaborative team approach.
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
