Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our kitchen staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Production and Service: Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food, ensuring all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards are met.
  • Team Management: Supervise hourly kitchen associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action.
  • Inventory Management: Track food use, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase product, and receive and inspect product and supplies for quality and quantity.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising requirements.
  • Menu Development: Help select and develop recipes and menus to meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous chef experience is required, with previous managerial experience preferred but not required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of quality and customer service.
