Therapy Specialist for Educational Settings

ProCare Therapy is partnering with a school district in the Canton, Massachusetts area to find a full-time speech language pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year.
About the RoleAs a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in enhancing communication skills, developing cognitive abilities, and supporting students with swallowing challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing strategies to improve verbal and non-verbal communication skills in students.
- Supporting students in areas such as memory, attention, and problem-solving to enhance overall learning outcomes.
- Assisting students who face swallowing challenges to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Providing alternative communication tools, such as communication boards and speech-generating devices, to empower non-verbal students.
- Guiding students in achieving healthy pitch, volume, and tone for clear and confident communication.
- Fostering clear expression through both verbal and written means.
- Diagnosing and treating speech disorders related to articulation, fluency, and voice.
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $43-$48, based on experience and qualifications. We strive to provide our professionals with a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth and development.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Master's degree in Speech and Communication Disorders or a related field.
- Previous experience in school-based or educational settings is preferred but not required.
- An active MA SLP license.
