Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will function within the context of the framework for professional nursing practice, collaborating with nursing leadership and the Health Care Team to facilitate training, education, and development. Your expertise will be critical in assessing, planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating projects and programs for staff, faculty, patient populations, and the community.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing educational programs to ensure role competence and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with nursing leadership to identify training needs and develop solutions
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Conducting needs assessments and developing training sessions to meet the needs of staff, faculty, patient populations, and the community
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current Connecticut nursing license
  • A Bachelor's degree and Master's degree, with one degree in Nursing
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in areas of assignment
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
  • AHA or ARC CPR certification
