Job Opportunity: Part-Time Lecturer in Public Health

The Department of Public Health at California State University, Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We are seeking experienced and student-centered individuals to teach in the following subject areas:

  • Global Health
  • Environmental Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Health Education and Promotion
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
  • Health Policy
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Public Health Leadership

This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.

Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Public Health or a related field, or equivalent experience working in a public health department or non-profit organization.
  • Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work with culturally and ethnically diverse populations in community-based venues.
  • Demonstrated ability/potential to provide high-quality education to a diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
  • Record of scholarship in their respective area of specialization.
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching, scholarship, and/or service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public Health practice experience with communities of diverse socio-cultural backgrounds in multiple settings.
  • Public Health leadership experience.
  • Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
  • Preference will also be given to those with relevant performance and professional experience.
