Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sports Field Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining immaculate sports fields and commercial properties throughout the DFW area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cultural Practices: Receive, plan, and execute all cultural practices for mobile maintenance accounts and one-off cultural projects.
  2. Fertility/IPM Programs: Receive, plan, and execute fertility/IPM programs for mobile maintenance accounts and one-off fertility/IPM projects.
  3. Software Proficiency: Ability to learn and grasp an understanding of Google and other software used by Sports Field Solutions.
  4. Pesticide Applicators License: Ability to gain a Pesticide Applicators License through the Texas Department of Agriculture (SFS will pay for license/testing).
  5. Equipment Operation: Driving a company truck with the ability to pull trailers with equipment loaded to jobs to complete.
  6. Equipment List: Tractors, Aerators, Topdressers, Skid Steer, Broadcast Spreaders, Boom Sprayers, Drag Machines, Verticutters, Painters.
  7. Customer Communication: Ability to communicate with customers on an as-needed basis, sometimes daily, through reports filled out daily.
  8. Training and Development: When time allows, help train maintenance staff on the basics of sports field maintenance, not just landscape maintenance.
  9. Tournament Participation: Participate in tournaments on a volunteer basis.
  10. Mobile Maintenance Support: Assist when needed on the mobile maintenance team through their weekly schedules.
  11. Product Ordering: Ability to order products through vendors, including fertilizers, pesticides, sand for topdressing, seed, etc.
  12. Fleet Services: Responding to fleet services and coordinating the delivery of topdressing sand.
