Position Overview:

The Market Research Assistant at Innospec Inc. will engage in comprehensive research, aggregation, and evaluation of data concerning products and market dynamics to pinpoint prospective new markets and sales avenues, as well as the most effective strategies for marketing designated products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate the objectives of assigned market research initiatives; select the most suitable methodologies to achieve these goals.
  • Conduct thorough research and gather data pertaining to existing product markets, customer demographics, and factors affecting product demand; analyze findings to uncover opportunities for enhancing sales and market reach of current offerings.
  • Collect and analyze information related to competitors' products, including pricing strategies, sales performance, and marketing or distribution approaches.
  • Synthesize and interpret data; provide actionable recommendations based on research outcomes.
  • Present findings in a clear manner, utilizing graphs and written explanations to clarify complex insights.
  • Identify potential new products or market segments through diligent research efforts.
  • Monitor and project industry marketing and sales trends based on the analyzed data.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations of findings to management and executive teams.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.
  • Conduct market assessments such as Product Gap Analysis and Competitive Product Comparison.
  • Assist with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tasks.
  • Develop and distribute customer communication materials.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the prospect pipeline.
  • Provide marketing assistance as needed.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for various purposes.
