Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of municipal plant construction projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall project schedule, including project planning, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders
  • Conduct construction site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
  • Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and estimates
  • Coordinate and manage the installation of construction materials, equipment, and fixtures
  • Ensure compliance with construction contracts and negotiate with vendors as needed
  • Utilize project management software such as Primavera and Bluebeam to track progress and identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure schematics are accurately translated into construction plans
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including milestones and deadlines
  • Oversee the maintenance of construction site documentation, including records of material deliveries, inspections, and testing
  • Conduct regular project meetings with the project team to discuss progress and address any issues
  • Manage and direct a team of construction professionals, including project engineers and site supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Manage and coordinate all construction-related activities, including procurement of materials and equipment
  • Conduct construction estimating and provide detailed cost reports
  • Develop and implement project quality control plans to ensure high-quality construction results
  • Manage and resolve construction-related conflicts and disputes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is REQUIRED
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically dealing with municipal treatment plant facilities
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera and Bluebeam
  • Experience with construction estimating and project scheduling
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with construction contracts and negotiations
  • Familiarity with Waste Water Treatment and Water Treatment Facilities
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with construction site inspections and compliance with safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with construction estimating and cost control

Certification in construction management or a related field is an asset.
