Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Providence Rezolut Irvine, a Rezolut Company, is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to contribute to our team of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mammographic imaging studies to detect breast tissue abnormalities and present them for diagnosis.
  • Ensure patient comfort and cooperation by explaining procedures, answering questions, and reducing anxieties.
  • Operate mammography equipment, maintaining production and quality of mammograms, and minimizing radiation to patients and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, and maintain inventory of supplies and patient gowns.
  • Document patient services and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
  • Mammographic Radiologic Technology certification.
  • Ability to operate sophisticated computer equipment and assist in performing DEXA and X-ray exams.
  • Strong interest in scientific and technical skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients and colleagues.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience as a mammography technologist.
  • Experience with ACR and all inspections.
