Job Summary

A Clinical Allergy Specialist plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of the United Allergy Services allergy center. This position involves administering allergy tests, educating patients on allergen immunotherapy, and providing patient-centered care to those suffering from allergies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of allergens, the allergic response, and UAS clinical protocols.
  • Administer safe and effective immunotherapy processes, including quality allergy testing and formulation and preparation of allergy immunotherapy.
  • Educate patients on administering injections with immunotherapy and ensure timely follow-up and progress.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and verify insurance eligibility for each patient.
  • Administer patient scheduling and handle billing documentation through EMR systems.
  • Maintain clinic inventory levels, ensuring timely ordering and receipt of supplies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with providers and medical office staff.
  • Escalate patient or other questions to the appropriate team member or provider in a timely manner.
  • Meet strategic goals and objectives related to clinic productivity and revenue.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of full-time equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Nursing or other medical technician certification(s) as required by state or local regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure suitable results.
  • Computer experience required.
