Geriatric Psychiatrist Position at Allina Health

Job Summary:
Allina Health is seeking a skilled Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our team in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. As a member of our geriatric mental health specialty track, you will work closely with primary care providers, psychologists, nurses, and social work services to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of patients.
- Engage patients and families to develop treatment plans that address identified goals.
- Develop and lead staff education in psychiatric issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
- Geriatric fellowship is strongly preferred.
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
