Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts, collaborating with clients to execute strategies, complete annual risk assessments, negotiate agreements, manage documentation, and meet reporting obligations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery to optimize their risk management expenses.
  • Oversee the operational aspects of client engagements, particularly for large and intricate accounts.
  • Facilitate collaboration among clients, brokers, underwriters, internal claims management, and risk management teams to manage the annual risk management cycle for complex clients.
  • Implement established risk strategies effectively.
  • Ensure timely completion of client reporting, providing essential information for informed decision-making.
  • Lead due diligence and integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Enhance risk management expertise by engaging in thought leadership and deepening knowledge in areas such as business continuity, captives, and enterprise risk management.
  • Manage and guide a team of senior risk analysts and risk analysts to maintain quality control across their assigned clients.
  • Set team objectives, monitor progress, and manage activities to achieve these goals.
  • Develop the skills and knowledge of senior risk analysts and risk analysts through education and training on task execution.
  • Delegate responsibilities in a manner that fosters increased accountability over time and balances workloads among team members.
  • Establish performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Create a collaborative environment that emphasizes values such as intelligence, integrity, consistency, energy, advocacy, service, and respect.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred, specializing in business, risk management, mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the Risk Management sector, ideally in roles such as Risk Analyst or Risk Management Associate, with responsibilities including:
  • Account management, developing strategies to optimize risk costs, leading teams, managing relationships within the insurance sector, and negotiating contracts.
  • Preference for candidates who hold the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and/or equivalent certification, as well as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or equivalent certification.
  • Understanding of risk management functions, processes, partners, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing service delivery effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of client service principles and processes, including needs assessment, service quality standards, and client satisfaction evaluation.
  • Ability to generate multiple ideas on a topic, emphasizing quantity over quality.
  • Familiarity with laws, legal codes, and government regulations.
