About the Role:

Goodspeed Merrill is seeking a seasoned Senior Real Estate Attorney/Partner to lead its growing real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in commercial real estate law, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions, and entitlements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the real estate practice group and develop a team of attorneys
  • Provide expert advice on commercial real estate transactions, including title and survey review, easement agreements, and commercial leasing
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the practice
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply that knowledge to drive business growth

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions, and entitlements
  • Lateral partner level experience
  • Extensive experience with commercial acquisitions and dispositions, including title and survey review and negotiations, easement agreements, and commercial leasing
  • Experience with land use, multi/planned use development and entitlement work
  • Experience drafting covenants, commercial development agreements, and construction agreements
  • Experience with secured real estate financing agreements
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado
