Role Summary:
The Cybersecurity Risk Management Specialist will deliver project oversight, in-depth subject matter expertise, and authoritative guidance to government personnel in executing Command-wide Cybersecurity measures in support of Defensive Cyber Operations for the US Navy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee cybersecurity, certification, accreditation, and configuration change boards for all classified and unclassified networks.
  • Develop, review, update, and validate Cybersecurity Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
  • Maintain an inventory of authorized software and devices.
  • Conduct audits and validate configurations on laptops, workstations, and servers.
  • Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and implement compensating controls as required.
  • Update and maintain all Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) documentation.
  • Conduct thorough annual RMF package reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network and system configurations.
  • Report on the status of outstanding C&A items and support documentation.
  • Participate in the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to ensure timely updates to C&A documentation.
  • Support compliance validation of current and future directives.
  • Provide recommendations for remediation of non-compliant security controls.
  • Prepare monthly reports on scanning results and configuration management observations.
  • Document assessment activities and results comprehensively.
  • Conduct semi-annual tabletop exercises and produce relevant documentation.
  • Review and analyze IT contingency and disaster recovery plans for compliance.
  • Maintain a secure and organized work environment.
  • Complete required training and record labor hours accurately.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience with Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS) and/or Nessus.
  • 5+ years of experience in Certification and Accreditation (C&A) package assembly.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is required.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) training and certification is preferred.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
