We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician II to support our customer under the TA-IMA program in Virginia Beach, VA. This position requires a strong background in electronics and experience with towed sonar arrays.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical inspections, electrical testing, and troubleshooting of towed array modules.
- Assemble and install towed bodies on submarines and surface ships, working in various weather conditions.
- Review technical documentation, identify discrepancies, and submit corrections.
- Provide technical support to the US Navy and other stakeholders.
- Graduate of an accredited technical institute or apprentice program in electronics above the high school level.
- At least two years' experience in the test and repair of electronic/electrical equipment.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Prior US military service, preferably Navy and on a platform utilizing towed sonar systems.
- Experience with towed sonar arrays, such as AN/BQQ-5, AN/BQQ-6, AN/BSY-1, or SQQ-89.
- Ability to perform light mechanical maintenance actions and operate a forklift.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
