Job Title: Tax Manager

At Crete Professionals Alliance, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our clients' tax compliance and planning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Review and analyze complex tax issues, providing guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize clients' financial positions.
  • Provide proactive advice on tax implications related to business transactions, investments, and other financial decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives, offering strategic tax advice accordingly.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering professional development.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with a focus on compliance, research, and complex problem-solving.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well-organized with good time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Works well in a team environment and ability to maintain positive relationships with work teams and customers/clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work and think independently.
  • Must be able to develop working knowledge of in-house software packages.
  • Pass a CJIS background check.
