General Overview:

This role is a non-exempt sales position dedicated to welcoming and assisting customers in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. The position demands meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure efficient processing of payments for prescriptions and merchandise.



Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome and assist customers promptly and professionally.
2. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked area.
3. Demonstrate proficiency in all Front Register Cashier responsibilities.
4. Understand the Pharmacy computer system functions, including workflow.
5. Be skilled in the Prescription bagging process.
6. Generate courier manifests as required.
7. Process charge account payments and manage daily cash deliveries.
8. Assess customer wait times and triage accordingly.
9. Possess general knowledge of DME equipment to assist customers and complete necessary paperwork.
10. Manage PSE sales and maintain the signature log.
11. Promote pharmacy programs to each customer.
12. Follow proper pharmacy closing procedures, including restocking.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
Minimum one year of cashier experience, preferably in a retail pharmacy environment.

Other Requirements:
None

Performance Expectations:
Knowledge:
1. Familiarity with organizational services available to customers.
2. Awareness of product locations within the store to assist customers effectively.
3. Understanding of the phone system, particularly for refill and new prescription calls.

Skills:
1. Ability to provide accurate change.
2. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
3. Capability to learn the proper use of mechanical equipment relevant to this role.

Abilities:
1. Ability to manage stressful situations professionally.
2. Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

Equipment Used:
Standard retail equipment, including POS systems, telephones, copy machines, and fax machines.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a dynamic retail setting, with occasional evening and weekend shifts.

Mental/Physical Requirements:
The role involves standing and walking for approximately 90% of the time.
