Key Responsibilities- Provide basic clerical and office duties, including assembling necessary documents and supplies, and maintaining medical records.
- Effectively use computer applications in the office setting to schedule appointments, coordinate patient care, and monitor inventory.
- Perform business and financial duties, including assigning procedural and diagnostic coding, conducting pre-authorizations, and facilitating timely billing.
- Assist with clinical functions, including prioritizing patient needs, recognizing emergency situations, and preparing examination and treatment areas.
- Administer screening tests, assist with examinations and procedures, and provide patient education as directed.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or current RN/LPN license.
- Preferred qualifications include current national MA certification and experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
This role is based in St. George, Utah, and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and navigate crowded and busy rooms.
