Position Overview:

This role is ideal for nursing students eager to launch their careers in a nurturing and professional environment. The PRN position offers a flexible schedule, accommodating both academic commitments and personal life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN), which may involve monitoring vital signs, aiding with personal hygiene, and supporting daily living activities.
  • Report any significant changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the supervising RN.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Nursing students must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current BLS certification from the AHA; candidates without this certification are required to obtain it during the onboarding process.
  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform full body motion to assist and lift patients, requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
  • Medium work capacity, involving the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently.
  • Physical demands exceed those of light work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Adhere to standard precautions and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.
