About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Steel Production team as a Bottom Pour Setup/Steelpourer Assistant. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up molds at ground level and at heights, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Perform minor repairs and cleaning of hardware to maintain equipment integrity.
  • Assist with crane hook-ups and ensure safe and efficient material handling.
  • Support the Steelpourer during pouring of molten steel, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Create accurate teeming records to track production and quality.
  • Clean out pits and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme heat, uneven surfaces, and heights.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a frequent basis, with a strong focus on physical stamina.
  • Ability to use computer systems and software to track production and quality.
  • Remote crane experience and forklift experience are preferred, but not required.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
