Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Knowhirematch is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in San Diego. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for enhancing our manufacturing processes and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing methods based on engineering specifications.
  • Establish key production metrics to support management in decision-making regarding capacity and productivity.
  • Ensure accuracy in all Bills of Materials and process routings.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure products are designed for efficient production.
  • Uphold health and safety standards while promoting a culture of high ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce costs, train staff on new procedures, and continuously improve process capabilities.
  • Analyze product failure data to recommend process or design improvements.
  • Manage the disposition of non-conforming materials and communicate with vendors to ensure specifications and procurement of necessary components.
  • Optimize the layout of workforce, workspace, and equipment for maximum efficiency.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, complemented by at least 4 years experience in manufacturing engineering with preference for electronics or semiconductor or related industries.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to forecast manufacturing needs and identify process optimizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead new product introductions from design to production.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with vendors to achieve manufacturing goals.
