Job Summary

This leadership role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced General Medicine Clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and effective treatment plan.
  • Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies to promote patient education and empowerment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Lead and manage nursing team resources, delegating tasks and responsibilities to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area, Associate's degree in nursing, or experience directly supervising or managing others.
Physical and Environmental Demands

This role requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain diseases, posing an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
