Position Overview:

The Production Assembler is responsible for executing a range of assembly tasks of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare for assembly by reviewing instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; collecting necessary components, tools, and materials.
  2. Position components and subassemblies accurately using templates or measurement techniques.
  3. Assemble parts by verifying proper fit and securing connections.
  4. Support the development of prototypes and assist with additional assembly projects as required.
  5. Ensure a safe and organized workspace by adhering to established protocols and safety regulations.
  6. Utilize resources efficiently by managing tools and supplies to achieve production goals.
  7. Enhance team performance by mentoring colleagues in basic assembly techniques.
  8. Conduct inspections of completed work to confirm compliance with quality standards before proceeding to the next phase.
  9. Maintain accurate documentation by completing production and quality assurance forms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the safe operation of small hand and power tools.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and bills of materials.
  • Basic computer literacy is essential.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or GED, or a combination of relevant work experience and skill development is required. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

This position is classified as Medium Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) according to the US Department of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
