Job Summary

Join our Clinical Decision Unit as a Full Time Registered Nurse and be at the forefront of providing comprehensive nursing care to patients on a fast-paced observational unit. As a vital member of our team, you'll leverage your expertise in departmental and hospital policies to ensure the highest quality of care delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates, implements, and evaluates the Patient Plan of Care and outcomes
  • Collaborates with the health care team to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Is seen as a patient advocate
  • Timely implementation of nursing interventions
  • Demonstrates appropriate clinical skills and technical competence in providing patient care
  • Demonstrates appropriate clinical judgment
  • Assesses, analyzes, and communicates patient information in a timely manner
  • Documentation: Accurately and promptly documents all patient assessments, interventions, responses, and provider communication
  • Assess patient safety risk factors and identifies those patients requiring specific safety interventions
  • Follows medication safety policy
  • Promptly initiates appropriate interventions for safety needs
  • Completes Safety Tracking Tools as required
  • Supervises assigned staff, delegates appropriately, takes responsibility for all care provided to patients assigned
  • Reports all performance issues of team members to ensure all patients receive appropriate care and attention
  • Assesses educational needs of patient and family, provides appropriate written and verbal instructions
  • Documents assessment and education provided
  • Performs ongoing review, initiation, and implementation of patient orders in a timely manner every shift
  • Prioritizes responsibilities and issues, taking into account urgency, patient needs, and seeks appropriate resources
  • Problem solves independently
  • Multitasks efficiently and demonstrates effective time management skills
  • Independently seeks out other clinical experiences to enhance knowledge base
  • Actively assists others and accepts additional duties or assignments
  • Timely completion of assigned education and annual competencies
  • Actively engaged in unit-based councils and performance improvement
  • Recognizes unit needs and works to help facilitate solutions
Requirements
  • Experience in hospital or acute care setting
  • Clear communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to keep confidential information regarding patients, team members
  • Able to withstand crisis situations
  • Has skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Health Records
Credentials
  • RN - Registered Nurse
  • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • NIH - Stroke Certification
Education
  • RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program

Salary: USD $36.20/Hr. - USD $59.73/Hr.
