Position Summary

The Finance division at Aerospace is seeking a Financial Analyst (Finance Analyst Specialist I/II). This role encompasses responsibilities such as annual and multi-year budgeting, crafting financial forecasts and planning scenarios, and developing and implementing financial and operational metrics, dashboards, and capital expenditure planning. The selected candidate will act as a trusted financial advisor across all levels of the Engineering & Technology Group (ETG), supplying essential financial data, trend analysis, and predictive analytics necessary for achieving organizational objectives.

Work Arrangement

This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence at the corporate campus three to four days a week, with one to two days available for remote work as business conditions permit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and monitor overhead and capital budget allocations along with related metrics.
  • Assist management in preparing annual budget requests.
  • Track budget performance through monthly reporting on budget execution.
  • Respond to ad hoc data inquiries and analytical report requests.
  • Advise Finance leadership on financial trends, reporting unit performance, and recommend corrective actions to align with financial plans.
  • Analyze financial results against plans and forecasts, identify trends, and communicate reliable metrics to management for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with managers, customers, and purchasing agents to submit purchase requests.
  • Review and analyze cost transfers to ensure accurate cost allocations.
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement of necessary equipment and services to meet divisional objectives and ensure timely budget execution.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for Financial Analyst Specialist I:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • One to two years of experience in budgeting and forecasting.

Additional Requirements for Financial Analyst Specialist II:

  • Three to five years of experience in budgeting and forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be advantageous if you possess one or more of the following:

  • Experience in a US government contracting environment (FAR).
  • Familiarity with governmental budgeting systems and practices.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx.
  • Prior experience in a research or FFRDC environment.
