Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a Registered Nurse on our Progressive Care Step Down Unit, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

* Deliver patient-centered nursing care and participate in patient and family education
* Monitor heart rhythms, titrate select drips, and utilize critical thinking to manage patients
* Create and implement a care plan to meet each patient's needs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
* Utilize computerized documentation systems to monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
* Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Requirements

* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
* Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License
* 1 year of medical surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
* Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
