Job Summary

The Lighting Showroom Branch Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving the profitable and safe functioning of our Dothan, AL location. As a seasoned professional, you will develop and coach a team of sales and warehouse associates to deliver exceptional customer service and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operations of the showroom, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining a visually appealing showroom and efficient warehouse operation.
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales and warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional customer service and sales performance.
  • Handle customer inquiries, issues, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure branch personnel have the tools necessary to achieve the highest levels of sales potential.
  • Effectively manage branch Profit and Loss (P&L) to meet or exceed total sales, GE sales, net income, and asset management targets, and expense budgets.
  • Implement branch security and safety standards by conducting facility and asset inspections and taking corrective actions to support controls.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new product releases, and best practices in lighting design to provide expert knowledge and guidance to customers and team.
  • Maintain and develop positive, strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and suppliers.
  • Conduct/oversee inventory control procedures and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Collaborate with key partners, managers, sales, and marketing to support branch mission, strategies, and growth goals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events, product launches, and campaigns to drive traffic to the showroom and increase sales.
  • Drive profitability by utilizing company digital tools to maximize all aspects of branch performance.
  • May fill in for branch and warehouse roles and makes deliveries as needed.
Requirements
  • High School or GED
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of sales, operations, electrical distribution, or lighting showroom experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Ability to manage P&Ls preferred
  • Knowledge of lighting products, design principles, and inventory trends
  • Sales and service oriented, self-motivated, dependable, possess excellent leadership, and customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP system such as JDEs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and coach a team
