Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume a leadership role within the client-side team, partnering with functional leads to formulate and implement time-sensitive organizational capability enhancements.
  • Engage with project delivery teams to explore innovative working methodologies, capturing lessons learned to refine approaches.
  • Provide external support to relevant military headquarters and digital defense entities, ensuring alignment with broader transformation efforts.
  • Identify essential skills to maintain progress and assist in recruitment efforts as needed, informing future capability delivery strategies.
  • Facilitate effective technical decision-making and present clear pathways for stakeholders, empowering team members and colleagues.
  • Drive enhancements in the operation of critical delivery programs, promoting an architecturally driven approach that leverages System of Systems and service-oriented thinking.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of deployed and tactical military domains, particularly in ISTAR, Communications and Information Systems (CIS), and Cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with relevant technology markets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build constructive relationships with clients, adapting to their culture and operational methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of Defense Digital and military customer business processes, especially Army Intelligence, Planning, and Targeting Cycles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of summarizing and delivering concise technical information with effective data visualization techniques.
  • Experience in one or more Ministry of Defence environments (Air, Land, Maritime, C4ISR).
  • Proven ability to innovate and develop strategic roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise architecture, identifying cost-saving opportunities and reducing technical debt.
  • Knowledge of Military Communications and Information Systems (CIS) and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems.
  • Understanding of military customer needs and defense procurement processes.
  • Experience applying ITIL within the MoD context.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Digital Common Approach to Architecture (CAA).
  • Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is desirable.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risks, advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise-scale ICT delivery mechanisms and software technologies, including Application Hosting, Big Data, DevOps, and Virtualized Cloud Services.
  • Awareness of Safety and Security Management practices in the MoD domain.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management and baseline development throughout the lifecycle of complex programs.
