Licensed Optician

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at DiNapoli Opticians in Stuyvesant Plaza. As an Optical Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences through the selection, measurement, ordering, and fitting of eyewear. This role is a key part of establishing our practice as the premier destination for all vision needs in the community.

• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing a voice for peers and exploring patient needs and priorities.
• Takes and records measurements, adjusts or fits eyewear correctly, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and patient requirements.
• Assists peers with difficult or complex areas of product needs and prescriptions.
• Utilizes practice tools and adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Anticipates problems, explores underlying reasons, and strives to develop long-term solutions to problems and ensures patients are satisfied and expectations are exceeded.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Active state optical licensure; must maintain license.
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Sales skills, including the ability to use and carry a tablet.
• Embraces new technology and change.

• Previous eyecare and/or customer service experience.
• Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, and other software applications.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
